Indulge in the rich and savory Baked Lobster Ball Mentai. Premium lobster balls are baked with a creamy, torched mentai sauce and topped with nori, creating a modern and irresistible flavor experience. Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 8 Minutes Servings: 2 Ingredients Main 1 pack Seafoodking Lobster Balls (about 6-8 pieces). 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted. Mentai Sauce 4 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise (Kewpie mayo recommended for best flavor). 1.5 tbsp chili sauce (sriracha or similar). 1 tsp sesame oil. A pinch of sugar (optional, to balance the heat). Toppings Shredded nori (roasted seaweed). 1 stalk scallion, finely sliced. Tobiko (flying fish roe) for an extra premium touch (optional). Instructions Preheat & Prep Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) or set your air fryer to the same temperature. Lightly brush a small, oven-safe dish with the melted butter. Arrange Place the Seafoodking Lobster Balls in a single layer in the prepared dish. You can slightly score the top of each ball to help the sauce adhere better. Make the Sauce In a small bowl, whisk together the Japanese mayonnaise, chili sauce, sesame oil, and sugar until smooth and well-combined. The color should be a creamy light orange. Coat & Bake Generously spoon the mentai sauce over each lobster ball, ensuring the top is fully covered. Bake for 5-8 minutes. The sauce should be bubbly, and the tops should have attractive, slightly charred or browned spots (a "torched" look). Garnish & Serve Remove from the oven carefully. While still hot, sprinkle with the shredded nori and sliced scallions. If using, add a small dollop of tobiko on top. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.
