Cheese Seafood Tofu Takoyaki

Crispy cheese seafood tofu served takoyaki-style with savory Japanese sauce, creamy mayo, bonito flakes, and nori for a delicious fusion appetizer full of umami flavor.


Ingredients

For the Crispy Cheese Seafood Tofu

  • 6 pcs of Seafoodking cheese seafood tofu

  • 80 g all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 100 g panko breadcrumbs

  • Oil for deep frying


Takoyaki Sauce

  • 3 tbsp takoyaki sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp honey

Mix all ingredients well.


Toppings

  • Japanese mayonnaise

  • Bonito flakes (katsuobushi)

  • Aonori or shredded nori

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chopped spring onion


Instructions

1. Prepare the Tofu

Pat the cheese seafood tofu dry.

Coat each piece with:

  • Flour

  • Beaten egg

  • Panko breadcrumbs

Repeat until fully coated.


2. Fry the Tofu

Heat oil to 170°C.

Deep fry the tofu for 3–4 minutes until crispy and golden brown.

Drain excess oil using paper towels.


3. Prepare the Takoyaki Sauce

In a small bowl, combine:

  • Takoyaki sauce

  • Oyster sauce

  • Ketchup

  • Soy sauce

  • Honey

Mix until smooth. Warm slightly before serving.


4. Assemble

Arrange the crispy tofu on a serving plate. Drizzle generously with takoyaki sauce and Japanese mayonnaise.

Top with:

  • Bonito flakes

  • Aonori or shredded nori

  • Sesame seeds

  • Spring onion

Serve immediately while warm.
