Creamy Calamari Ball Pasta

Creamy Calamari Ball Pasta with a smooth, rich sauce, firm calamari balls, and a touch of parmesan cheese. A practical, creamy, and delicious everyday recipe.


Serves: 2 Portions

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 15 Minutes


Ingredients:

  • 200 g pasta (fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne)

  • 6–8 Calamari Balls, sliced into halves or thick rounds

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 150 ml cooking cream

  • 50 ml fresh milk (optional, to adjust consistency)

  • 30 g parmesan cheese, grated

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Chili flakes (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions:

  • Cook the Pasta

    Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water, then drain and set aside.

  • Prepare the Calamari Balls

    Heat a pan over medium heat. Melt butter and lightly pan-sear the sliced Calamari Balls until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.

  • Make the Creamy Sauce

    In the same pan, add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in cooking cream and milk, then simmer gently. Add parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.

  • Combine

    Add the cooked pasta and Calamari Balls into the sauce. Toss well until evenly coated. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.

  • Season & Finish

    Season with salt, black pepper, and chili flakes to taste. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.

  • Serve

    Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan.


Serving Suggestions:

Best served hot with garlic bread or a light salad. Perfect for a comfort-style café menu or a quick yet elevated home dish.
