White Fish Ball Soup

Clear white fish ball soup with a light, savory broth, fresh vegetables, and simple aromatics, perfect for a comforting, easy homemade meal.
Ingredients (2 - 3 Servings)
Main ingredients:
10–12 pcs white fish balls
1 liter water or chicken stock
1 carrot, thinly sliced
1 stalk scallion, sliced
1 tsp sesame oil (optional, but recommended)
Aromatics (sautéed):
3 cloves garlic, crushed & chopped
2 shallots, thinly sliced
Seasoning:
Salt to taste
White pepper to taste
½ tsp chicken stock powder (optional)
Instructions
Sauté the Aromatics
Heat a small amount of oil in a pot. Sauté garlic and shallots until fragrant and translucent.
Add Liquid
Pour in the water or chicken stock and bring to a boil.
Cook the Fish Balls
Add the white fish balls, reduce heat, and simmer for about 5 minutes until they float.
Add Vegetables
Add the sliced carrots and cook until tender but still fresh.
Season
Season with salt, white pepper, stock powder (if using), and sesame oil. Adjust to taste.
Finish
Add scallions, stir briefly, then turn off the heat.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot and enjoy as a light, comforting meal.
